About this event
2015 sees the greatest single initiative ever undertaken around Irish design. Ambitious, wide-reaching and innovative, Irish Design 2015 (ID2015) is a year-long programme exploring, promoting and celebrating Irish design in just about every form. By focusing on Ireland’s design strengths, ID2015 aims to hone our collective understanding of Irish design sensibilities, letting us continue to build our design identity together. ID2015 showcases the very best of Irish design; not just through signature events on the island of Ireland but also in prestigious partner venues in international capitals of design and commerce. In short, we’re revelling in Irish design. Join us.
Irish Design 2015 is an initiative convened by the Design & Crafts Council of Ireland (DDCol), in collaboration with partner organisations throughout the island of Ireland, on behalf of the Department of Jobs, Enterprise & Innovation (DJEI), the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and Enterprise Ireland (IE). The overall objective of Irish Design 2015 is to sustain and grow employment opportunities, sales and export potential for the Irish design sector, by encouraging investment in design as a key component of competitiveness and innovation.
