The Kilkenny People: “Innovative ideas lead to employment”
The Kilkenny People, 15 August 2014, reported on presentations by students of The UCD Innovation Academy. “Last Thursday afternoon a group of innovation students took the stage … to puty their startup ideas to an audience of local businesses and Minister of State Ann Phelan. The students were part of a programme run by The UCD Innovation Academy the teaches internationally recognised techniques such as Lean Startup and Design Thinking to develop new business ideas and community ventures. The course is run in Kilkenny in association with Springboard and the FAA. The ideas presented at the event ranged from an innovative system for using 3D technology to improve bra fitting to a new type of cooking oil”.
